Hello, and welcome to our website! In time for the 2008 Olympics, we have received a shipment of Russia's most popular talking toys - Cheburashkas (shown on your left). A beloved cartoon character, Cheburashka has also become a mascot for the Russian team. Invite him into your house to watch the Olympics with you!

... We have originally created this website for American and Canadian families who have embraced adopted Russian children as their own.

But we quickly discovered that it has a larger, much larger appeal. Our website turned out to be the first Russian children's store launched online in America, and we are happy to welcome everyone who finds it interesting.

Lots of items listed on this website are in Russian language. But you can always find something for a child whose Russian is limited. Think of a CD with lullabies and children's songs, or choose from the variety of Russian-made cartoons (some with English audio tracks or subtitles). We have books in English, too - in picture books, folk tales and on our dual-language shelf.

In our audio section you will now find a selection of audio CDs and audiobooks in Ukrainian and English languages (in addition to Russian) - with folk tales and children's songs. Or, pick a Russian folk tale book (we have plenty of them in Russian, English, French and in bilingual editions).

And, as always, we continue listing more books by Russian authors, some in English translation, and offer a variety of popular titles for older children in Russian language. Books by A. A. Milne, C.S. Lewis (think of "Prince Caspian"), Oscar Wilde, J. K. Rowling and other remarkable children's writers in Russian translation are all to be found in our Classics and Bestsellers isle, along with award-winning books by contemporary American authors like Sharon Creech and Holly Black ("The Spiderwick Chronicles").

More new arrivals are landing this summer in our Learning English section. And, yes, there is a corner for beginning Russian readers as well!

All in all, you can always find a fun, one of a kind gift on this site - for a child, yourself or someone dear to you. And if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. We would be always glad to hear from you.

Sincerely,

Svetlana O'Brien, Founder
